Welcome Message from Your HIMSS NorCal President Hello Fellow HIMSS Members: I hope this message finds you in good health. It is my distinct honor and privilege to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to you all as your new President of HIMSS Northern California chapter. In today’s rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, the role of informatics has never been more crucial. The intersection of technology, data, and healthcare presents boundless opportunities for improving patient outcomes, enhancing operational efficiencies, and driving innovation in our field. As the newly elected President, I am excited about the journey that lies ahead and the collective impact we can make. HIMSS is a beacon of excellence in the realm of healthcare informatics management. It is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our members that we have consistently been at the forefront of this dynamic field. With your continued support and collaboration, I am excited to lead our chapter on a path of strengthened relationships, strategic collaboration, and accessible education during my one-year tenure. In addition to my focus on health equity, and using informatics to ensure everyone has access to care, we are dedicated to: Knowledge Sharing and Education : We will enhance our commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning. This includes organizing webinars, workshops, and conferences to keep our members updated with the latest trends and best practices. Advocacy : Our organization will play an active role in shaping healthcare informatics policy in California and advocating for its importance in improving healthcare delivery. Collaboration and Networking : We will create more fun opportunities for our members to connect, collaborate, and build meaningful relationships with peers, experts, and organizations in our field. Innovation : Our Chapter will continue to encourage innovative initiatives that push the boundaries of healthcare informatics as a top priority. As we embark on this journey together, I want to hear your ideas, concerns, and aspirations. Your active participation and feedback are invaluable in shaping the direction of our organization. I have been privileged to work alongside and witness the hard work of our board members, committee volunteers and members to provide more training and networking opportunities, a more informative website, and renewed relationships and presence in Sacramento for our advocacy efforts. Looking back on the last year makes me proud of what we have been able to accomplish as a volunteer team.
